             abstract = "This study aimed to analyze the environmental sensitivity to oil 
                         spill in the South Coast of Sao Paulo State, using Geoprocessing 
                         tools, in order to promove planning combat actions in case of oil 
                         spills and to minimize the environmental impacts in the area. The 
                         Environmental Sensitivity Mapping of Oil Spill in S{\~a}o Paulo 
                         State was conducted by the Environmental Sensitivity Oil Spills 
                         Research Group, linked to the Human Resources Program in Geology 
                         and Environmental Sciences Applied to Oil and Gas, PRH-05 
                         (UNESP/MCT/FINEP/ANP), Institute of Geosciences and Exact 
                         Sciences, UNESP. To achieve the proposed objectives, the original 
                         information and documents related to the study area, which was 
                         divided into municipalities, were integrated. A descriptive 
                         statistical analysis was performed, based on parameters of 
                         dispersion and trend, making it possible to answer questions 
                         related to the distribution of sensitivity index to oil in this 
                         portion of the state. The prevalence of sensitivity index by 
                         environment and the dominance of existing environments in the 
                         study area were evaluated, in order to provide an overview of this 
                         portion of State of Sao Paulo to its oil sensitivity, to help the 
                         combat planning in case of an accident, usual in the coastal 
                         area.",
